5/6 Speed Chain for Vintage Schwinn Road Bikes, Stingrays, Krates, & Cruiser Bikes Bicycles ( Brown / Natural 1/2″ x 3/32″ for 5, 6, 10 ,& 12 Speed Bikes)
This is our Most Popular Natural or Brown  5 or 6 Speed Chain for your 5 Speed Schwinn  Stingray, Krate, and FastBack Bike, also for 10 or 12 speed Vintage Schwinn (Varsity Continental etc) & other  Road Bikes,  Vintage Schwinn 5 speed Bikes Like: 5 Speed Breeze, Suburban, Schwinn Cruiser 5 etc..  This Natural 5/6 Speed Chain has 1/2″ links that have 3/32″ spacing. The 3/32″ Chain is a narrower than a single speed chain and is used with narrow sprockets, Derailleur, and 5 and 6 speed rear cassettes or free wheels. A double front chain ring / sprocket on the front givers your 10 and 12 speeds. You must have 5 or 6 rear cogs to use this chain. The Chain is 58″ long or 116 links and has a open link to connect it.  You will need a chain tool close the chain and to remove links to fit your bike, this is common with all chains and a tiny amount of Bicycle mechanic skills is required to perform this task. If you have your old chain and are using the same set up,  I would make your new chain the same length (assuming you have the proper factory set up). Chain comes  prelubed that should be sufficient fort the life of the chain, the use of added lubricants can attract dirt and promote a excessive wear, a  clean chain (lightly lubed) will improve life look and performance.   This chain also  comes in Silver, sorry no colored chains in this size.. We also have 7 and 8 Speed 3/32″ chains that have specific pin lengths for 7 and 8 speed rear cassettes and freewheels.
